An inspirational blog maintained by Raza Rumi, a progressive Muslim with Sufi leanings. Rumi''s teachings on love and self-knowlegde are universal in nature and beyong religious and geographical boundaries. Following this dynamic, the blog is a tribute to Rumi as much as it is a quest for self-discovery by the blogger. Jahane Rumi is not just about Sufi poetry and teachings but seeks to reach out and connect with world history, civilization, arts and literature. Its focus, given the origins of the blogger, is South Asian as it attempts to revive the peaceful cultures of Sufi thought, communal harmony and friendship between the neighbours - India, Pakistan and Bangaldesh. Jahane Rumi also promotes new poets and writers and provides them an internet based platform to be heard and seen. In addition, the blog also posts comments and updates on global literary and artistic movements and makes a humble effort to connect the present with the past.
